Hello,
I have a Thinkpad R61i. Recently the battery began to deplete very fast, and yesterday it died. There's a message "a battery error has occurred. The battery cannot be charged. replace the battery".
According to Lenovo website, it sees that I'm eligible for a replacement, but I need to use their battery diagnostic tool.

However, nothing happen when I try to use this tool, even after I disabled the firewall and antivirus
any ideas?
Thanks

Re: R61i - battery diagnostic tool
Try double-clicking it a few times. It extracts into C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp\ from where it runs.
It also needs to go online, so have your internet connected.
