Upgrade Z61t Wifi to 802.11N?
I've been considering to upgrade my Z61t to 802.11N. Does it have a whitelist in BIOS, or can any Mini PCI-e card work?
I remember one of my previous Thinkpads had a whitelist. I had to use some Linux program to reprogram the vendor and device ID's. I'm not beyond doing that either if it'll save some money.

Check Zender's post in the T60 forum: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=55837
He makes whitelist-free BIOS versions, also for your model.
Intel 4965AGN is the card for you.

Thanks! I didn't know about Zender, it's fantastic he's cracked the BIOS. Did you mean 4965AGN?

Is an Intel 5300 likely to work? It's the one with 3x3 technology for "up to 450Mbps". Granted, I don't have a 3x3 router (yet), but it's just $2.29 more.
