Hi,

My R60 has Bluetooth, and I can't imagine your's hasn't!
Try these keys; Fn+F5 a menu should appear in which you can toggle WLAN and Bluetooth on or off.
Furthermore, there is a neat little slide knob on the left front panel, by which you switch both off simulaneously.

I do have trouble getting this Bluetooth thing running under XP (SP3) but works as a charm under Ubuntu!

Hope this helps,

Hans

That is correct. I don't have Bluetooth on an X41T here and the option is enabled in BIOS.

FYI, not all R60's have Bluetooth. Unless a mistake is made at the factory or a screen bezel swap occurred, your LED indicator strip (also called clear plate) will tell you whether or not you have Bluetooth on board. No Bluetooth icon, no Bluetooth inside.

Many R60's come with the correct LCD cable that supports just clipping in the tiny Bluetooth module. If you're interested, just remove the three screw covers and screws at the bottom of your LCD bezel (very carefully!) and look on the left side to see if you have an empty clip at the end of a section of LCD cable. If so, you just need to add the $10 (in the U.S.) Bluetooth module and you're good to go. To make it perfect, another $5-$10 will get you the correct R60 clear plate with the Bluetooth icon, it's not necessary, but it completes the project. The R60 Bluetooth modules do not use any extra antenna connection.

Good luck.

thank you very much. first of all i am a litlle bit afraid to open the cover of the lcd but i used a software called everest that detects anything you have. and it said that i have no BT. until i could get a bt module from usa or uk , i bought one from a computer store in romania for only 39 lei , that equals almost 9€ . it's quite small and named GEMBIRD. it does it job.

again, thank for your info
