I am trying to use the Factory recovery CDs (all 7 of them) to recover the laptop. I used a version 4.21 R&R boot cd to successfully create the partition and copy all 7 ds to it. When I attempt to recover to factory specs it starts and says it can't load "X:\Preboot\Utils\Convert.cmd. When I use a Win98 boot disk I can see the partition and the file is not there.
Can anyone give me the file so I can put it where it belongs??
I tried a Version 3 Boot CD and it did not work either. Maybe version 2 will work?? Anyone got one. This seems to be a common problem with the newer Lenovo machines and version 4, I didn't have the recovery boot CD so I had to download the RnR utility from the website which is a lot newer than the R51 I'm working on.
R&R recovery fails due to missing file
