R50e LCD stripe problem

I have IBM R50e 1834-J8G notebook with 15in XGA LCD.
The problem: For a few days now, I see one stripe verticaly as showed in picture.
Is that a LCD problem that will need a LCD replacement ?
Is it safe to buy new LCD from Ebay (just the display without the plastics) ? Of course I can replace it alone but just wanted to know if anyone already bought a LCD from ebay.
Also, I need a bottom assembly and upper assembly. Can't find it on ebay or they don't send to Israel.

Looks like a new LCD is in order shortly.
You could try our Market forum, or buy on eBay.
It's a mixed bag, but if you buy from a reputable seller, you should be OK
look on eBay with r50 xga lcd -cable

FYI, I have a 15" XGA LCD that I removed from an R60. It is bright and in fine condition.

Samsung LTN150XF-03
IBM P/N: 13N7121
IBM FRU: 13N7122

It should work perfectly with any 15" T60, R60, R5x or T4x machines using existing LCD cables and inverters. (It worked fine with an Intel GPU R51.)
