R32 Motherboard compatibility

#1 Post by poshgeordie » Wed Jan 20, 2010 3:49 pm

Hi and my first time in this part of the forums.

I know this question has been asked before so I apologise for appearing to repeat it.

I'm helping out a customer out who was fleeced with a very poor quality R32 which turns out to have extensive (and terminal) internal spillage damage and died a couple of months after he'd bought it.
At the time of the sale I was associated with the vendor, who has washed his hands of any responsibility (can you hear the sound of horses hooves as a cowboy rides off into the sunset?!).

I'm going to supply a suitable replacement motherboard and charge the guy cost price and free labour, but I want to make sure that what I'm buying will be compatible with the existing bits.

At present it's fitted with a 91P7832 board and a SL6FH 1.8GHz CPU.

I've been checking the parts matrix and a post here, and it appears that any R32 board will work with this CPU.

However could someone confirm that a 91P7532 or 91P9901 would both be OK.

Many thanks!

All R32 boards are interchangeable, so you'll be on the safe side with that...

Good luck.
