#1 Post by Rama » Tue Jan 26, 2010 5:32 am

hi,

I am having IBM thinkpad Z61t Laptop
I heard that we can use the SIM slot provided for this laptop and can connect through internet.

Could you kindly advise me if the Z61t series supports SIM Slots?? If yes , where can i find the SIM slot and also what all other activities must I perform Inorder to have Internet working.

Appeciate your response.

Some Z-series thinkpads are equipped to provide WWAN access via Verizon (no SIM card), and some are equipped to provide WWAN access via a GSM network (Cingular/ATT maybe?, but that DOES employ a SIM card). Many Z-series models, like mine, do not provide WWAN access. So, it depends on your model. If you do have a SIM slot, it is accessible from the bottom of the machine somewhere, probably behind a cover. Hope that helps. I know there are not very many Z6x owners in this forum, which is a shame.
