hibernate tab missing after drive format

#1 Post by scotto » Thu Feb 24, 2005 3:32 pm

How can I get back the hibernate tab under the winXP control panel power icon? It was there before I formatted the drive on my A31p. But now it's gone -- so hibernate can't be enabled.

The machine originally came with windows 2000, so the IBM support people won't say anything other than, "we do not support windows XP." Well, one support guy did claim that hibernate did not work

But I know it does. I just can't remember what I did to get it going on XP. Any advice appreciated!

Thanks,

Scott

Thanks much! That did it. It seems like the dealbreaker was that I hadn't installed the video driver. This made the machine a lot faster too!
