Update Connector-Install Errors

#1 Post by lutami » Sat Feb 26, 2005 2:15 pm

Hi... I've been using Update Connections without any problems until today...laptop just a few weeks old.

I have searched but cannot find the answer...SO...

Update Connecter has found and downloaded....11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PC Adapter Software V.3.1.1.5401 (1QWC86WW)

When I click to install it reaches 90% then I get a message saying...An Error Occurred While Installing Updates Contact IBM Help Centre.

I can't find anything that relates to this in Access Help or on the Support pages...I know it'll take til middle of next week if I mail support...

Can anyone help me out with this please.

I'm not sure how many different 11 a/b/g adapters there are. I am using Driver Version 4.0.100.140 and immediatly before that Version 3.1.102.27a. Try going to:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... country=us

and entering your model and type. This site will usually provide the newest drivers where Update Connector doesn't always. I have drifted away from Update Connector as a reliable source of updates. I use the site above, download the updates manually, and feel well served by the approach. Not for everyone, though.
