Can someone confirm me if I can use Bluetooth BMDC300 on A31

My original bluetooth is almost not working. I need to replace it.

Hunting ebay and see that there are at least 3 newer models on bluetooth.

BMDC 200, 200B and 300.

I would like to use the 300 one because the bluetooth revision is already 1.2 compared to 200B which is still 1.1

Can someone confirm me if I can use the 300 one?

I have read on this forum that 200B is almost certain can be used on my A31, but it would be nicer if I can have the 300 one on my A31p.

Nopes.

The BT card that I use in my T43p threw a "1803 error" in my "spare" A31p (2653-R5U) last night while the one from my T42p (BDC 200) didn't.

With that said...

Depending on the machine and BIOS type (not version) used you may or may not be able to get away with it, but it's going to be a gamble, although not a huge one.

Early A31p machines (models ending in HxU or NxU) are generally more tolerant towards "foreign" cards than the later ones (models ending in RxU), at least in my not-so-modest experience.

mine is A31P 2653H5U. it's the same model as yours on your signature. do you think it will handle the bmdc 3 or not? or should I just go with the 200B one?

is it possible for you to test it on your 2653 H5U?

My "main" machine is in bits and pieces right now, pending testing for some weird troubles that I've been having lately, which may be signs of simple aging or just plain deadly, so it's out of loop at the moment.

Nothing wrong with 200 in my book, but then again I'm really not big on BT usage...

ok thanks for another answer from you. I use bt mainly for mouse. but the problem is only us seller has bmdc200B. in asia no seller has it. on the other hand bmdc300 is available in hong kong. so I am not sure if I want to gamble or not. I am in Jakarta currently....
