R51 to plasma tv setup

can someone help me with info on how to setup my r51 thinkpad to display the immage on my panasonic plasma tv. Im running under windows 7 I have tried svideo from the computer t my plasma but i want get a picture . Can i get a cable addapter for plugging into the laptops External monitor output and then somehow on to the tv or do i need somthing else. Please help

Try using a DVI or VGA cable (depending on which your TV supports). The R51 has VGA built in, but you will need a dock to get DVI. You will get much better quality than with S-video.
