not waking up

I have XP sp3 on this ebay A31 2652 machine. it went to sleep but does not want to wake up.
The moon light, the side lights for the drives are on, 15 sec. press/hold power button does nothing.
Should I remove the batter/un plug the power and see what happens?

Yep. Remove the battery, then re-insert it and try to power on.
