R50p Memory

Hi,

Thinkwiki says that the R50p only supported memory is PC2700 - but google says that it supports any 200PIN SODIMM, regardless of PC2700 or higher, EG: PC3200.

Can anyone shed some light onto what exactly the r50p can take?

PC2700 is the preferred speed as well as the internal bus speed..
Any faster RAM, like the PC3200, will only work at PC2700 speed.
Most PC3200 will work, but there's no guarantee, if the timing is off! Don't try anything faster than PC3200.
Any slower RAM, like the PC2100, might not even boot or it might work, but it will definitely be very slow.
