BIOs password T60

How do I reset or get around the bios password on t60 to install new os? I am thinking about buying this computer: here is the message the seller says he receives... (A password required appears on the screen 10 seconds after the laptop is powered on. I was unable to get into the BIOS to confirm the specs.) is this thing worth buying?

You're looking at motherboard replacement on that one, so do your math accordingly.
