after upgrading my thinkpad r60 to 802.11n wlan i have some questions about a few issues
I have replaced the Intel 4945 ABG wlan card with an Ubiquiti SR71-E 802.11n card (Atheros 9280 chipset). The ubiquiti works very well (after zender bios mod), but there are now some minor issues.
1) reception
Because one of the two antenna cables was damaged (half-cut, was damaged on arrival, now "fixed" with tape) i want to replace it. i assume that FRU 42R9910 would be the right. but, first i want to know - is there a better solution ? better antennas ?
2) wlan led & hardware switch
wlan led & hardware switch & FN+F5 don't work with Windows 7 x32 (no ibm/lenovo tools installed, latest wlan driver). the strange thing: with ubuntu 10.10 livecd, wlan-led and hardware switch are working out of the box. what can i do to get the led working in windows ?
thanks
posting includes bad english, sorry
