ibm thinkpad r31 thermal temperatures

ok i have an ibm r31
its normal temperarture when started from cold is somewhere 20-50 when idle
when gaming its somewhere 80-79
is this normal my max temp is 103

so what do you think is it normal
fans are working
and only one place gets warm when playing and that place where is ram memory located.

I think that the 103*c is a critical trip point where the machine may power down, but your actual temp in the picture is 53*c.

It wouldn't hurt to take the CPU cooler off, clean out all the dust from the fan, clean off the old thermal paste between CPU and cooler, using isopropyl alcohol (or similar), and then apply fresh "Arctic Silver 5" thermal paste.
This needs a day or 2 to properly settle in, but temps should go down noticeably.

ok understood

my solution was that there was dust in cpu heatsink
i cleaned it up and now gaming is at 64-68c
idle somewhere 30-40c
