Lenovo System Interface Driver no longer in driver matrix

#1 Post by leftbrain99 » Thu Dec 02, 2010 2:26 pm

I am reinstalling Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on my Z61t. I've done this a number of times, so I am quite surprised that I navigated to the Z61t driver matrix page on the Lenovo Support site and the System Interface Driver is not listed AT ALL. That's the first driver I download and it's not there. I'm sure I can find a copy, but I wonder if there is some good reason it has been removed.

It's part of the Hotkey drivers these days.

BRILLIANT! It looks like they did that just two weeks after my last OS reinstall. I wonder if I missed the memo. Thanks for the help!

OK, on a different note (but related to my OS/driver reinstall), I'm getting an Unknown device report under Other devices in my manager after installing all drivers and updates:

Location:
Intel (R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M/U) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9

A search indicates that the Atmel TPM driver could relieve this on XP/Vista installs, but that driver is for 32-bit OS's. I do not see a 64-bit alternative. And I never saw this come up during any of my previous Win7 64-bit installs on this machine.

Ah - it was the National Semi Fast IR port. Not sure why none of the drivers in the matrix covered this component, but Windows Update found it as an Optional update.
