R51 Display Driver Installation Problem

Can't install the latest ATI display driver for some reason. Using the latest software installer, but get an error that says I should change to a standard VGA adapter or some such thing. Anyone else with such an issue?

Which R51? Some are ATI, some are Intel.

The model is 1829KTU. It has the ATI Radeon 9000.
