R400 LCD Upgrade

#1 Post by Harryc » Sun Dec 05, 2010 1:46 pm

I am researching what CCFL LCD I need to upgrade an R400 from WXGA to WXGA+. I've narrowed down my search to an LG WXGA+ LCD with a FRU# of 45T0579. Thinkwiki says it's an LP141WP1(TL)(B8), 220 NIT LCD, 400:1 contrast ratio. Thinkwiki also lists FRU# 42T0406 as the same LCD with 220 NIT. I found a FRU on EBay 42T0406 labeled LP141WP1(TL)(B7). Since I can't seem to locate the data sheets, I guess I have (3) questions. Does anyone know where to find LG data sheets for LP141WP1(TL)(B7) and LP141WP1(TL)(B8) ? Does anyone know if either or both are actually 220NIT? Does anyone have a suggestion for a better quality WXGA+ LCD for a 14'1" R400? I know that some of the T61, Z61T, and T400 14'1" WXGA+ LCD's are compatible for instance ...

Thanks for the information, unfortunately the linked seller does not have the LCD I am looking for. Happy Holidays to you as well.
