Motherboard Compatibility: R60 and T60

#1 Post by Bruce Guttman » Fri Jan 14, 2011 9:24 am

Question for the experts.

Does the T60 Motherboard fit in the R60 chassis? Similar to what we did with R5x boards in the T4x chassis to fix the loose GPU problem?

For that matter, what other parts (specifically keyboard and LCD) can be swapped?

Thanks for answering a dumb question.

Except the case parts themselves, almost everything else.
Offhand I think some R60 screws might have different lengths (longer than T60).
T60 does not have 1394 Firewire, so you'd need to get the Dremel out if you want to put an R60 mobo into a T60.
R60 might not have WWAN, so leaves something open in a T60 that had it.
