Will Samsung HM160HC 160GB PATA work with R51

I've done a Google search on this drive and here in the forums. I've been unable to get a clear answer as a lot of people on message boards have said this drive does not work (drive not installed/recognized), but some say it works fine! Anyone know for sure before I make the plunge to buy?

Laptop: R51
Drive I'd like to install: (Samsung Spinpoint M5 HM160HC - Hard drive - 160 GB - internal - 2.5" - ATA-100 - 5400 rpm - buffer: 8 MB)

If you know it will not work I'd appreciate suggestions on what drive to buy instead of the stock 4200rpm drive.

Should work out of the box, no problem.

works like charm - this post is writen on 2887-K2G with this Samsung drive, it works with 2373-A10 T41 too.

If I should say something about this drive:
- it's very quiet and fast
- much faster than any 40/60/80GB drive originally mounted in Thinkpads
- this drive don't heat as much as other drives (WD, Seagate) - after 6 hours on it shows about 40 degrees celsius

I am happy to report that the drive is installed and works like a charm! VERY FAST in my R51.
