Upgrading R51 (2883-ELU) 30G HD

I'm trying to replace my 30GB HD with a 160GB one (Western Digital). I used Norton Ghost (Version 15) to copy the source disk. However, when I install the new drive I'm getting 'A DISK READ ERROR OCCURRED' message. Can you help me? Has anyone done this successfully, and how?
