R60 with PCI Device issue
I now have a fully running r60 thinkpad and I've updated BIOS and installed the necessary drivers from Lenovo, but every time I boot up I get the "new device found - pci device" message. When I go to device manager, there are no "?" or "!" symbols next to the pci device or anything else. Device manager states the item is working properly, but actual driver type is unknown. Location is: bus 0/ device 31/ function 2, if that helps. Any ideas or help are always appreciated.

Did you install the Intel chipset drivers?

Re: R60 with PCI Device issue
go into the device manager, double click the unknown device and select the "details" tab. Look at the entry for the Device Instance ID. It'll be a long string like "PCI\VEN_xxxx&DEV_yyyy..."
load: http://www.pcidatabase.com/ and use "xxxx" and "yyyy" in the search fields and you should get some idea of the device identity and then what driver to look for.

Re: R60 with PCI Device issue
Much thanks to members RealBlackStuff and Sarbin. I had already downloaded the utility that RealBlackStuff noted, but I did not extract it correctly. And thanks to Sarbin, I found out that this device belonged to intel, but on their website there are no drivers available for it.
