I have the Z60m that doesnt like the recovery disks. After 4 years of depot level care, I didn't think much of it. After all Lenovo and Fedex make it pretty easy. So I have to do a system reinstall on my own and now the brand new recovery disks again didn't work.
My local Lenovo Business Partner fixed it for a handsome fee and told me the Broadcom card was swapped by an unauthorized card. The z60m has only had depot level repair, so it is unlikely the card is wrong. The card appears to be factory installed and never replaced.
I tried my xp pro retail disks before sending it out and I couldn't get the wireless to take a driver either.
The Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx series was not new when used in the z60m. Google will show lots of others have issues getting drivers to work. It's time for Trueimage to run parallel with Rescue and recovery to avoid another problem. Or maybe there's a fix and that's my question.

Re: Broadcom NetXtreme b57xp32.sys
I had a Lenovo Business Partner do the fix for what I think was a lot of money. He insisted I had an illegal card in the unit (off 4 years of Depot Care September 2010). He insisted my recovery disks were defective even though cd check gives them a clean report. Some sort of non-Lenovo xp pro was installed. There's no recovery partition but there is some partition that is password protected. Over the week he had the machine, there were 60 restore points established, so someone spent a lot of time.
For the price, I should have sent it to depot level and paid their price. Too late now, but next time for sure. Besides a trueimage and R&R, I have a cloned spare hard disk ready to go just in case. Who knows why R&R didnt work.
In the future, I'll put in a clean hd and try to restore from my recovery disks and my now extra set of recovery disks. It's not a fast unit but there are fewer units with ir I use for cell phone backup. And its good to use as a wifi radio if my ipodtouch cannot be dedicated to radio duty.
I'll try your link when I play with the restore.
