R40e Wireless with Belkin G Plus MIMO issue

#1 Post by tomcat2k01 » Fri May 06, 2011 7:02 am

I have an R40e and recently purchase a Belkin G Plus MIMO notebook adapter. Most of the time the card takes way too long to find my home wireless signal and other times it will connect quickly. Once connected the card works flawlessly. For some reason it's not detecting my routers wireless signal. There is no problem detecting the routers wireless signal quickly when using the built in wireless (802.1b) or an older Dlink adapter is used. I'm running the RT61 (Ralink) driver that came with the card. I've tried both Belkin's configuration utility and Windows both with the same results. I bought two of these Belkin cards F5D9010 Ver 3xxx that have good reviews and both have the same problem connecting quickly. Also tried in my T23 with the same results. My other 4 computers in the house connect to my homes wireless quickly and they use USB, PCI or built in cards. Any ideas?
