can r61i handle core 2 extreme processors?

hi everyone.im about to buy an r61i because its very cheap (about 120$)
im wondering can i make it work with any core 2 extreme processor??

Here's a German forum discussing putting the X9000 in an R61 using Middleton's BIOS.

If I recall correctly it will work but you'll get a thermal error, thus the need for Middleton's BIOS.
