Dual Monitors A31p in Docking Station (Again)

#1 Post by Sleep Machine » Mon Mar 28, 2005 8:03 pm

I have an A31p (2653-H5U) in a docking station (2631-10U). I now have two L200p 20.1 monitors. My goal is to run both at 1600 x 1200 with the desktop extended from left to right.

One is hooked up to the 15 Pin VGA [analog?] output. I can get it to run 1600 x 1200 at full screen.

The other is hooked up to the DVI output and I can only get it to run 1280 x 1024 at full screen. By full screen, I mean that I don't have to move the cursor to see the entire screen.

I have fiddled with this all day and have reviewed most of the 350 items which I get searching for dual monitors on this site.

Any suggestions/comments for a non-techie?

You can uninstall the drivers from ibm and install the drivers from Omega.

Downloaded Omega drivers mentioned on another thread. Crossed my fingers, accepted defaults on installation, and everything works. I now have 1600x1200 on both monitors - one off of vga port on docking station and one off of dvi port on docking staion. Also use UltraMon. [Don't ask me how to replicate it - it took some finaggling.]
