Looking for Pinout/Info for Port Replicator (Using a R40)

#1 Post by Darkwind » Wed May 25, 2011 9:58 pm

Hello, I am a long-time user of my R40 and I love it and have done a lot to her since I first got her. After finding where the Data- and Data+ for the Port Replicator, I added an internal USB hub in the area between the battery and front edge of the case (for webcam in location of thinklight and other future mods.) I cannot seem to find where the Serial port signals are on the connector though. An internal Serial port will allow me add GPS board and not use up one of my internal USB ports.

If anyone out there has a pinout they can post, I would be grateful. Or even if someone who owns one of these Port Replicators and feels froggy to find out where the Serial DATA signals on the DB9 come out on the Docking connector. If needed I can post the serial DATA signal pinout on a DB9 connector to reference the pins I am looking for.

Thanks very much in advance.

That sounds great. What model is it? ThinkWiki says some docks are incompatible with the R40. I was actually thinking of getting a Dock anyway for one of the other R40s I have.

PM your PP details and I'll see what's in there.
