pentium m v. other pentiums

i am trying to convince someone that the ghz speed for pentium m isn't comparable to the speed for something like pentium 4m... for instance, 1.4ghz pentium m is just as fast as a 2.0ghz+ pentium 4m (i think). is there a webpage that explains this thoroughly?

i dont know where else to pose this question, but it is on a r40...
