I was looking at installing a 3rd party wifi card. I looked at the page with the the zender bioses but it mentions about taping pin. Can anybody specify the instructions??

It's pin #21. Lay down a small piece of electrical tape and trim off the excess tape from covering the other pins and you should be good to go.

I was thinking of either removing the pin from the socket on the motherboard the next time I crack into my wife's R52.
R52: P4M 2.2GHz / 2GB RAM / Atheros Chipset 802.11abgn / Other goodies / Ubuntu 10.10
R40: P4M 2.4GHz / 2GB RAM / Atheros Chipset 802.11abgn / Other goodies / Backtrack R5

I successfully installed the lan card but still a warning is presented

01c9: two or more than two ethernet cards are present

It works perfectly but this warning is presented and i need to press a key to continue everytime i boot the notebook

Any way to disable it??
