R60 cursor freezing

#1 Post by pcengine92 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 1:45 pm

Hello again, all. I have an r60 that runs fine except for one thing: When I boot up and get to the screen to enter my password, the cursor freezes up sometimes. It happens enough where it's become annoying, as I have to re-boot the machine 2-3 times before the issue resolves itself. Any Ideas on what's happening?

How's the battery?

This generation of ThinkPads is known for randomly freezing when the battery is bad or generic...

My battery is starting to die, yes. It holds a charge for maybe 1/2 hour before I have to switch over to a/c power.
