A20m with video problem

#1 Post by Guydawg » Wed May 05, 2004 9:16 am

I have a A20m Ty#2628-F1U with a video error shown on the BIOS page. The lower two inches of the screen shows ramdom pixels lighted in vertical maxtrices about three columns wide each which covers what should be shows on the BIOS page.

I would think the LCD is OK as there is no such display at the boot screen and the error shows the same with an external monitor. If the video card, thus system board is the problem then is it possible to install a A21p system board with the 16 MB video card made for a UXGA LCD screen; i.e. FRU 08K3265 using my current 15" XGA LCD? My current machine has a 8 MB video card.

Best regards,
Mike Scott

No, the system boards are screen specific. The A21P board will not work with an XGA display[/b]
