Hello, I've been trying to get my Z60t (2511 series) to drive a widescreen monitor.
My system is XP, SP3. The monitor I'm trying to drive is a Sceptre X24WG-1080P, which supports aspect ratio modes of 16:10, 16:9 and 4:3. I'm using it via the VGA connection.
The display is driven by an Intel 915GM chipset, and the driver version is 6.14.10.4764.
After some searching/reading some related threads:
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... 058#136058
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=13972
I've flashed my bios and updated the driver (from 6.14.10.4391). As of now, the monitor is at 1680x1050, which only worked after these updates (it gave a black screen and error msg before).
I have not been able to install or even manually install the IEGD, Intel's integrated driver, as suggested in the first thread above - by manual install, I mean control panel > system > hardware > devices > display > update driver, and when I navigate to the folder where I extracted the files, I get an error message from the installer that it can't continue, can't find a better driver than what's already installed.
Many thanks ...
