I have a problem with using an external mouse in addition to the trackpoint, which I frequently do. Then, I want to go one screen down at a time using the wheel instead of three lines. I prefer going down one line at a time when using the scrolling button with trackpoint, but as soon as I switch to an external mouse, I would want to the wheel to be practically a replacement for the PgDn/PgUp buttons. Is there a way to automatise this, having to change the mouse settings every time one switches from mouse to trackpoint?
PS: I know that this is fundamentally not a ThinkPad issue, but since ThinkPad is one of few laptop types with this trackpoint scrolling solution, which is not very suitable (at least on my T60) as a PgDn/PgUp replacement, I think the question is relevant for a ThinkPad forum.
