Multiple system backups on the same drive

#1 Post by MikalE » Mon Sep 14, 2015 4:26 pm

I am running Win Pro 7 64 on an E530, a T500, and a T510. Each computer has different applications and software, they are not clones.

I am currently using a 2TB external hard drive for backups/images.

If I should have to reload the OS and files from the drive to one of these systems, will the system be able to select it's own backup, or will I have to manually tell the Windows backup and Restore program which back-up to use?

Thanks tips you might have.

I found out each system will recognize its own backup based on the name of the computer.
