What is this swirly icon that sometimes replaces the mouse pointer in Firefox when page loading is occurring? I don't think it's a Firefox icon because I've never seen it on my other machines, which run the same version of Firefox (and same plugins).
If it matters, this is a W520 with fresh/bare Windows 7 Ultimate installation + installation of Lenovo stuff (UltraNav, FullScreen Magnifier, On Screen Display, Power Manager), Nvidia drivers, intel stuff, and not much else.
Mainly interested in knowing because I find it annoying and would like to disable it.
Thanks!

Re: What is this icon?
I seem to recall having seen that before whenever I held the trackpoint's middle button down while trying to scroll on an area that wasn't scroll-able. Not sure exactly what you would need to do to disable it, but I'm pretty sure it's trackpoint driver related.

Re: What is this icon?
Looks like the icon for ChiralScroll. Not sure if your Thinkpad trackpoint and trackpad are synaptic but here is a list of features of synaptic user input.

I usually disable it in control panel >> mouse >> UltraNav >> Touchpad Settings >> Scrolling >> One-Finger Scrolling >> disable 'ChiralMotion scrolling.
Hope that helps!

Re: What is this icon?
Thanks! I disabled ChiralScroll and the trackpoint middle button scroll icon and haven't seen it since.
