Help With Lenovo .iso files

#1 Post by Donal » Sun Apr 03, 2016 7:31 pm

So I downloaded these Lenovo disc .iso files. Burned the disc image to disc but cannot get to boot. Have formatted disc as UDF, 9660, mac&pc, etc. The discs will not boot . Laptops are T400s with Vista. I need help, these laptops are eating my lunch, and supper.

ISOs need a program like ImgBurn, you don't copy-burn them like an .exe or .doc or .txt

Don't know exactly what kind of .ISO files you are trying to burn (or where you got them) but those files require a specific method of writing onto a blank optical disk. You don't really have to "format" the blanks in any way. You do have to use a burning program that has a setting / option which understands the .ISO format. One such program is CDBurnerXP.

Given that you can successfully burn an .ISO file, the next question is whether or not the image is actually bootable. That would depend entirely on how it was created and for what use it is intended for.
