No Trackpoint scrolling in Virtual Desktops under Windows 7

#1 Post by axur-delmeria » Thu Mar 30, 2017 7:27 am

By default, Windows 7 does not support Virtual Desktops (or Workspaces) unlike Linux. However, there's a program called Desktops from Microsoft Sysinternals that provides a similar functionality.

However, I discovered one important limitation: scrolling generally doesn't work on the second (and probably subsequent) desktops.
So far, scrolling works on Firefox, but only because it has a built-in scrolling feature (click middle button, then move Trackpoint up/down, click again to stop scrolling); the usual "middle button press-and-hold" scrolling doesn't work at all.

I haven't done any more tests (like using a mouse), but will get back to it when I have free time.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons

Is Desktops its own application? If so, you may need to add an explicit entry for it in TP4TABLE.DAT.
