Windows 7b vs Vista vs XP

can someone who has spare time do an experiment and install all 3 operating systems and report some numbers on the speed of each of those.

I did it once. Each one of them became corrupted...

lol :D. comon xp is pretty stable O.S. vista sp1 is good too.

...and Windows 7 even promises to beat them both :roll: I think it was due to some sort of interaction between the bootloaders and also the fact that I always tried to access files from within one of them that were stored on another, which basically results in chkdsk anyway...

I fail to understand the popular press viewvpoints on how Windows New will be more stable than Windows Old, or how OS Different will be more stable than ..... you get the picture.

I am coming up on a decade of ZERO operational crashes with any Windows NT-based system starting with NT4 Workstation. Just how does one become more stable than perfect? /me sighs.

Ok, and what do you think about the opposite kind of popular press viewpoints manifesting the death of an upcoming OS even before it has come out just because OS old was not bad (I try to avoid the word good for any Windows OS whatever)?
For the reason you mention here I never read general articles on Windows (like how good it is or how bad it is etc.), I prefer to test it myself and see where the truth is, that is then my verdict for it :)

Unless you use your system for benchmarking purposes all day, there's not much of a point in benchmarking I think ;)
