Well, one can run Win 7 beta for 30 days either activated or not activated (if activated, of course for longer than 30 days). The way I understand that prompt is if I activate Win 7, this will improve the feedback my system sends to M$. What I don´t understand is why the status of activation would make any difference to the quality of that feedback? The only thing that I can think of is that M$ wants me to run their beta for longer time than only 30 days so that they will be able to gather more data. Yet this is some very extended interpretation that doesn´t seem to me to have much to do with the prompt in question.GomJabbar wrote:Maybe I don't understand your question, but isn't that the point of the beta release to provide feedback to Microsoft? Assuming that, it is only natural that Microsoft is going to try and get everyone to activate - sooner rather than later.
