How to install W7b from a USB stick

#1 Post by GomJabbar » Sun Feb 01, 2009 8:02 am

I saw a link to this video and article posted at the Windows 7 Forums. I didn't watch it all the way through, but I thought some here might be interested.

That´s cool! I was always wondering how I could install an OS provided I have no external CD/DVD drive, my utrabay is occupied with another HD (for some reasons) or I don´t have an utrabay (I very much like the X200 tablet :) ). I wonder if this can be done with Vista or XP too or at least in a similar way...

EDIT: And the procedure is somewhat simpler than with Linux :)

This procedure is true for Vista also. To install XP from USB is a slightly more complicated matter, but also possible (http://www.eeeguides.com/2007/11/instal ... thumb.html).
