Installation Problem

#1 Post by winslow » Tue Feb 03, 2009 5:08 pm

Downloaded and burned the iso but when I tried to install it (Windows 7 ultimate) the setup failed because odf a missing file. Does this sound like a corrupt download/disk. Could it be because I tried loading it on a current version of xp?

A few things to consider:
1. Check the file hash/md5 after the download to check the integrity of your download
2. Try another media
3. What do you mean by "loading it on a current version of XP"? Did you mean you tried to upgrade from XP to Win 7 :? If so, it´s pretty much possible that something went wrong.

Did you check the hash/md5 sum of the download? It´s probably OK, but it´s always worth a check. I suspect it was just bad media you burnt windows on.
