Win 7 Beta Build 7057 Expiry Date
For what its worth, the beta registration expiry date is March 2010 for the Win 7 closed beta build 7057.
This is a very substantial blow out compared to the Win 7 beta registration expiry dates on other post build 7000 closed beta releases.
Cheers,
Bill B.

Re: Win 7 Beta Build 7057 Expiry Date
Can anyone tells me how to check the expiration date of my current Windows 7 system?
I was looking around the control panel, and could not find anything related to expiration date.

Expiration date is shown by the winver command.

Cool...SGD wrote:Expiration date is shown by the winver command.
I just ran the "winver" command on the Win 7 build 7068 and came up "Expires 3/1/2010 9:29PM".
It's good to know.

Re: Win 7 Beta Build 7057 Expiry Date
Also note that the difference in date is due to the difference in Time Zone and not to difference in build number

A Senior Member over at the Windows 7 Forums says that the output of the winver command (About Windows) is incorrect in this case.SGD wrote:Expiration date is shown by the winver command.

1. Click Start and search for cmd. Right-click the cmd icon and select “Run As Administrator”.
2. Run the following command,
C:\Windows\system32>cscript %systemroot%\system32\slmgr.vbs -dlv
This should show you the REAL expiry date
license actually expires in August (02.09.2009 on mine) .
The About Windows has an Error in it.

Re: Win 7 Beta Build 7057 Expiry Date
You're right, winver and slmgr display different expiration dates. For me (7077), the slmgr displays the date three months later on in 2010.

So close of business then huh? Crafty little devils!
I know I will be purchasing Windows 7 anyway so getting a full year out of 7100 for free is nice.
