Major problem with Windows 7, rescue and recovery is missing

I recently installed Windows 7 and I wanted to revert back to vista, so i pressed the Thinkvantage button and bootmgr is missing came up. Since the laptop did not come with a vista disk nor did i keep the windows 7 disk, what can I do to install vista again and install the thinkvantage software? Am I going to have to torrent the vista install disk and just input my key? The partition for the recovery area is still on the machine....

Should that work if i already deleted the main partition? Im trying to install XP and it says that there is no hard drive detected. Hopefully the diskette will work

I totally deleted the hard drive, now im trying to find the sata driver because XP install wont reconize it. It says no hard drive is detected. Model is 6459-CTO, i cant seem to find the driver on lenovo's website. Any advice?

Read the install instructions at the bottom of the above webpage. There are two different methods when installing XP.

This seems to be working, the laptop is in the process of reinstalling vista. I knew that an external floppy drive would come in handy some day...
