Dual boot with XP Partitions + Recovery Partition

#1 Post by umern » Thu Apr 02, 2009 11:11 am

Silly question but I am about to resize my XP partition to make space for Windows 7 Partition.
Should this new partition go between XP and the Lenovo Recovery partition or the end of the disk after the Recovery partition?
Thanks!

Will also be doing some resizing for an Ubutu install. I think the R&R usually is safest to leave at the end. Will probably use GParted Live to shrink NTFS toward the beginning and then put the Ubuntu in the middle.

What program are you using to resize?

I have in the past successfully used GParted to move/resize NTFS/linux dual boots on desktops, but haven't tried yet with the Lenovo Rescue and Recovery partitions.
