T60- Volume bar above the task bar

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Mon May 04, 2009 10:43 pm

Hi everyone:

So far, so good with Beta 7.

I installed many of the Vista drivers for Beta 7 and all seem to work well.
One thing that I can't get working is the volume bar that works under Win XP.
My volume control buttons work, but I'd like to see where it stands.

Anyone with an answer to this please drop a note or PM.

Oh, one more thing..... I know the RC1 will be available tomorrow. Where would I be able to get this download from and once burned to a DVD can it be installed as an update to Beta 7.......

I've been pretty much stuck on XP after trying Vista about a year ago. Since using Beta 7, I've really come to enjoy it and feel MS is finally on the right track.

Best to one and all,

Steve :-)

I guess the onscreen display doesn´t work properly. Make sure you have installed all necessary drivers, namely:
1. Lenovo Power Management Driver
2. Lenovo System Interface Driver
3. Hotkey/Onscreen display driver

If you already have all these, then it´s probably some bug with the beta. My system is pretty similar to yours, I´m not experiencing such issues, but FYI I´m using quite older Vista drivers.

Thanks for the info.... I now have it working. The only NEW problem is that I can't get my FP reader to work under Win 7.....

Thanks for the help, Steve
