Can we use Presentation Director on win7?

#1 Post by Procter » Sat May 09, 2009 10:33 am

My laptop is an old 22668-76u T43. Installed win 7 RC and necessary thinkvantage software, so now my power manager works, access connection, and on screen hotkey display works. However, I tried to use presentation director 4.03, it sorta worked half way. Once it got duplicate output on laptop and external projector, it could not go back to laptop only mode unless I manually disconnect the projector in win 7's mobility center.

Does anyone manage to get it work?

BTW, there's an error saying "corrupted installation package. Check the integrity of the package" during the installation, but if you let it finish and reboot, you can still start the software, see the on-screen menu, etc.

I don't know about Presentation Director, but I modded the ATI Radeon Vista 32 Catalyst driver suite with Mobility Modder to install Catalyst Control Center (for ATI video adapters). I find that the Catalyst Control Center gives much the same functionality as Presentation Director. Just press Fn+F7 to cycle through the options.
