64 bit windows 7 RC on X301

Just installed W7 RC on my X301, and would like to share my experience.

64bit W7 RC works fine and the WEI score of the system is 4.0. The scores of individual components are:
CPU (1.4GHz, 4.4), RAM (4GB, 4.9), Graphics (Intel X4500, 4.0), Gaming (4.9), Hard disk (128 GB MLC Samsung, 6.5)

The performance feels better than Win XP. Startup takes less than 15 seconds. The total usable memory is 3.9GB. It is hard to believe that XP is already 8 years old, definitely time for a refresh.

Hotkey is still not functioning 100% after numerous tries, the onscreen display for display brightness does not work but volume display works. Hope Lenovo will fix these issues in the future.

Installation of adobe CS 3 is a bit problematic, waiting for the arrival of CS4.

I've install the RC on my x300 and the master CS4 works perfectly.

I followed other posts, including yours, on the Hotkey issue, and ended up, I guess, with similar results. No surprise there.

Thanks for the info. I am too lazy to google how to install CS3 on 64-bit system.
