Getting Readyboost to work in T43 PCMCIA slot

#1 Post by sjthinkpader » Tue May 26, 2009 10:09 am

I have a Hitachi 5400rpm drive that yielded 4.3 WEI which is not too bad. I am trying to get Readyboost working. I tried a 8GB CF card formatted as NTFS in the PCMCIA slot but no joy. I then tried formatting it as exFAT but still no joy. This card worked as Readyboost device in a X41's PCMCIA slot ok.

Then I tried a Sandisk ZIF IDE SSD via a IDE-USB adapter. This time the system recognized the Sandisk as Readyboost device and it worked fine. The system boot and application launch time seems to be shorter.

Did anyone tried CF card as Readyboost device in a T43's PCMCIA slot and can share the experience?
