uninstalling WMP11?
uninstalling WMP11?
There are a lot of things I think MS has gone backwards on in W7, including WMP. Has anyone tried 'inactivating' WMP11 and installing WMP9 or 10? I am interested specifically in WMP9 or 10 ... already use WinAMP, MPC etc. etc.

I thought W7 has WMP 12 as the default. Here is a guide to downgrade to WMP11.

Opps, 'my bad' as they say. You are right, W7 has WMP12.Harryc wrote:I thought W7 has WMP 12 as the default. Here is a guide to downgrade to WMP11.

And thanks for the article on downgrading! Was tickled with delight to see it's possible
EDIT: just removed WMP12 and installed 11. WOW, it's like a breath of fresh air by comparison!
